Since 1991, BLGPD has presented DC Black Pride (DCBP) annually. Each year, more than 25,000 men and women from all over the world attend DCBP and experience the great culture and history in the Washington, DC area. Attendees have come to expect only quality social and non-social events during the Memorial Day Weekend.
DCBP is a member of the International Federation of Black Prides (IFBP). IFBP is a coalition of Black Pride organizers formed to promote a multinational network of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) Prides and community-based organizations.
