Be a Featured Writer

The DC Black Pride Writer’s Forum is an annual gathering that centers Black LGBTQIA+ writers working across genres and platforms. The forum brings authors together to discuss craft, lived experience, and the realities of writing as both an art form and a profession.

Panelists share their work, reflect on their creative journeys, and engage in conversation with an audience deeply invested in Black LGBTQIA+ storytelling. The forum is designed to spark dialogue, exchange ideas, and highlight the voices shaping what Black queer literature looks like now and where it is headed.

Writers interested in serving as panelists for the 2026 Writer’s Forum are invited to apply using the form below. Selected panelists will be notified by April 30.

The Writer’s Forum takes place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 1–3 p.m.
